Our file migration to the cloud introduced two new site types to our environment. To make it easier to to understand what type of site your are on at a glance, we created graphics to help guide you. Below you will find the reference to the types of sites and who can access.

A space for your personal work files |
Access is restricted to you alone. Contents can be shared with other employees and people outside the College, similar to Google Drive. |

Internal Team Site |
A private team space for your Department or Division. Was your [Department or Division] Central file share before the cloud migration. |
Access is restricted to members only and can only be assigned through a System Access Request. Contents cannot be shared outside the member group. |
Human Resources |

External Team Site |
A public/private team space for cross-departmental collaboration. External guests allowed. |
Owning department members have full access to contents and can invite people from outside their team/outside the College to access conversations and files. |

Insider Communication Site (Intranet) |
A private website to access Blue Ridge Community College news, resources, documents, and tools. **This type of site cannot be requested** |

Internal team space for Committees to collaborate and store their documents. **This type of site cannot be requested** |

Unsure What Is Needed or New Site Needed? |
If you share files with another department as part of a process or project, a new site may be needed. The information you submit on the request will determine the type of site that will be created. Your site will be created automatically once fully approved. |
