Ways to Add a Sender to Your Contacts
On a Computer:
- Open Gmail and find an email from the sender.
- Hover over the sender’s name or email address.
- Click "More Info" (person icon with a plus sign).
Select "Add to Contacts" and save any additional details.
On a Computer:
- Go to Google Contacts. It can also be found in the Google waffle by your username.
- Click the “Create contact” button (top left).
- Select “Create a contact” or “Create multiple contacts” if adding more than one.
- Enter the name and email address of the contact.
- (Optional) Add additional details like phone number or notes.
- Click “Save”.
On a Mobile Device (Gmail App):
- Open the Gmail app and find an email from the sender.
- Tap on the sender’s name or email address.
- Choose "Add to Contacts" or "Create New Contact".
- Enter details if needed and tap "Save".
Why This Helps
- Gmail prioritizes emails from known contacts.
- Emails from contacts are less likely to be quarantined or marked as spam.
- Helps avoid missing important messages.
