Please follow these simple steps if you are experiencing an emergency.

  1. Call 9-1-1 if you are in a serious or life threatening emergency
  2. Is it safe for you to briefly describe your emergency?
    • If NO: Simultaneously press F9 and F11 to silently alert the BRCC Police or Security Staff
    • If YES: Double click the PANIC button icon on your desktop and enter your description of the issue AND provide your current location.
  3. What happens when you use either method to trigger help
    1. Blue Ridge CC Police or Security Officers receive the alert
    2. The team will determine the appropriate response based on available information.
    3. If the alert is a "silent" (F9-F11) alert, Police will cautiously and discretely approach your location - as you recorded in the most recent monthly test of the 'LynxGuide' Panic Alert System
