Due to the recent move to Confluence Cloud, there is a new way to login to edit and comment on the Draft - Policies & Procedures Manual and the Faculty Handbook.

If you have previously used Confluence, the move to the cloud retained your username but you will need to set a new password (below) because it is no longer connected to Active Directory.

If you are a new Confluence user, your username will be your email address and you will follow these steps to set your password.

**Note: Please remember your password for Confluence as it will be unique.

To set up your Confluence account

  1. Look for your email invitation from Atlassian (parent company of Confluence) and click "Join the team." If you didn't receive the email, check your Spam folder. If it isn't in your Spam folder, email helpdesk@blueridge.edu to have the invitation resent.
  2. You will be taken to a "Create Account" page. Enter your Full Name, create your password (remember it!), and then click "Sign up." You will be prompted to verify you are a real person through captcha.
  3. Once in Confluence, you will be asked 2 profile questions. You can choose to answer or just click "skip question" on both.
  4. You will be taken to a Welcome page that lists the spaces you have permission to see. Select the space you want to open, then click "Next.". IMPORTANT - all Policy & Procedure Manual work is done in the Draft - Policies & Procedures Manual. Please be aware of which space you choose.
  5. To know you are in the right space, the Draft - Policies & Procedures Manual looks like this:
