If you are not signed in to Chrome already be sure to back up your bookmarks before starting. Those directions can be found HERE


Depending on your version of chrome there can be different ways to sign in.



First Way


On older versions of Chrome, you will see a blank profile photo in the upper-righthand corner. This means you have been using Chrome as a guest user.



Clicking that profile photo will open up a pop-up screen. Click the + Add




Follow the prompts to create a new profile using your @Blueridge.edu address.



Second Way



Some users may already have a profile but receive this message from Chrome about changes by the system administrator and to please create a new profile.


As long as you backed up your bookmarks this is fine. Click OK. Simply follow the prompts to create a new profile and login with your @Blueridge.edu email account.


You can then restore your bookmarks that you backed up with the instructions found HERE.



Third Way


Some newer versions of Chrome are prompting users to create a new profile and providing a check box to click that will automatically import their bookmarks and history.


If you get this prompt be sure that the box is checked and click OK. Follow any prompts and be sure to use your @Blueridge.edu email address.
