ThinkingStorm: Tutoring for Students
Blue Ridge students have access to free tutoring through ThinkingStorm.
Tutoring is available both in person and online.

To access ThinkingStorm:
ThinkingStorm for Blue Ridge Students
Sign in using your Blue Ridge student username and password.
In-Person Tutoring
Free in-person tutoring is available at:
- Henderson County Campus – Patton Building
- Transylvania County Campus – Library in the Straus Building
Subjects may include English and Writing, Math, Chemistry, and CIS.
You can also use ThinkingStorm to schedule an in-person tutoring appointment.
- Sign in to ThinkingStorm.
- Select the Blue Ridge option.
- Choose the campus, subject, and available appointment you want.
Online Tutoring
ThinkingStorm provides free online tutoring with professional tutors.
After signing in to ThinkingStorm, select the ThinkingStorm tutoring option to view the available subjects and tutoring services.
Depending on the subject, services may include:
- Live online tutoring
- Chat, audio, or video
- Interactive whiteboard
- Screen sharing
- File uploads
- Scheduled tutoring appointments
- Writing assistance and paper reviews
Writing Center paper reviews are typically returned within 24–48 hours.
