**This article is specifically for error messages in Power App forms.**

How can you tell if you are using a Power App form? If your form has a blue navigation bar on the top with the words Power Apps next to the college's logo (as seen below), you are using a Power Apps form.

Error messages in Power Apps come in 2 varieties and both have a pop up "Error" box.

  1. You receive an "Error" pop up message and you see a pink box across the top. The pop up box is our error message and the pink box is a system generated message.
    1. If the pink box refers to a 504 error, "Code: 504" as seen below, click "OK" in the pop up and try to Submit the form again. 504 means there was a timeout in whatever process was running and will most likely be resolved if you try to submit again.
    2. If the pink box says anything other a 504 error, please take a screenshot and email it to helpdesk@blueridge.edu
  2. You receive just the "Error" pop up message
    1. It is important at this point to pause and look at the information on your form (Click "OK" to hide the pop up and see the entire form). You may be missing required information as seen below. In this case, complete the required information before you click Submit again.
    2. If you don't see red boxes, it may have been a glitch. Please try to click the Submit button again.
    3. If you receive the "error" pop up a second time, take a screenshot of the entire app screen (the width of the title bar with the Submit button and the height of the left navigation bar) and email it to helpdesk@blueridge.edu.
