Quick Link

If you have already set up your password and account recovery in the first time login and just need to open the app, here is a quick link to the Maintenance Work Order. You can also click or scan the QR code below.

In this article you will find instructions on:

  • First Time Login
  • Link to the Maintenance Work Order
  • Password Reset Instructions

First Time Login

Prior to logging into the Maintenance Work Order for the first time, Facilities personnel will supply the username and temporary password needed.

  1. Have the username and temporary password on hand.
  2. Navigate to      the Maintenance Work Order (scan or click on the QR code to open the app)
  3. Enter your username, including the @blueridge.edu, on the first screen, then click "Next."
  4. Enter your temporary password on the second screen, then click "Sign In."
  5. You will be prompted to reenter the temporary password, then create and confirm a strong permanent password - one that you will remember. (Strong passwords are 8 to 256 characters and must combine at least three of the following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.)
  6. Click "Sign In"
  7. A new dialogue telling you more information is needed to keep your account secure, click "Next"
  8. You will be prompted to re-enter the password you just set in step #5 above.
  9. When your account was created, the IT Dept entered only your work email and possibly your office phone in your M365 account so your screen may look different than the verification screen displayed in the next step. There are 4 options to securely verify yourself when doing a password reset. Instructions for actually resetting your password will be further down in these instructions. This section covers setting up how you will receive the verification code needed to complete a password reset, which are:
    1. A voice call to your office phone or cell phone with a verification code
    2. A text message to your cell phone with a verification code
    3. An email with a verification code.
    4. Authenticator App
  10. We recommend verifying at least 2 options, if possible, so you have a backup.
  11. The most efficient way to authenticate is through an Authenticator app (Microsoft has one and so does Google). This will be the first authentication method presented to you. If you want to use a different method, you can click the "I want to set up a different method" link at the bottom of the popup.
    1. Download or open the authenticator app on your cell phone, then click Next
    2. Open the Authenticator app on your phone, click to add an account, then select "Other"
    3. Scan the QR code on the screen with the authenticator app, the click Next.
    4. Enter the code provided by the Authenticator app in the onscreen prompt. Please note the code changes every 30 sec so please be aware of the timing.
  12. If you chose to set up a different authentication method, the steps will be similar.
    1. You will be prompted to enter your mobile number or alternate email
    2. Microsoft will send a code to that number or email
    3. You will be prompted to enter the code on the screen.

  13. Once you have set up your recovery, the app will begin to open. You will be presented an "Almost there..." pop up asking you to allow the app connectors permission. This is expected and you must click "Allow" before the app will open. Sometimes, you might see the "Allow" button greyed out with a "Sign in fix permissions" link. If this happens, click the words "fix permissions" and sign in. This should resolve the issue and turn the "Allow" button purple/clickable.
