Important - Please keep in mind that the Microsoft 365 environment includes MANY products and propagating your uploaded photo to all of those products may take some time. If you do not start seeing your photo after a week, please email helpdesk@blueridge.edu so we can investigate.


It is crucial that you upload an office worthy photo of your choice to the Microsoft 365 environment. The photo will be displayed throughout SharePoint Online, the platform for our Insider internal communications, which will help fellow employees in their efforts to get to know you.


To Upload a Photo to M365

  1. Find an office-worthy photo you want to use and store it on your computer, OneDrive, or other location you can access. Note: The recommended minimum size of user photos is 96 x 96 pixels, and 10KB size.

  2. Sign into Microsoft 365 with your work or school account at office.com.

  3. Select the circle in the upper corner of the page that shows your initials or a person icon.

  4. Select My Office profile.

  5. This will open Delve, Microsoft's platform for your account information across all products. Select the camera icon on the circle.

  6. Choose Upload picture or drag and drop your favorite photo in the circle.


  7. Resize the photo, if needed, and click apply.
